
Feeling blue? Blue is actually a favorite of many and said to be preferred by most men. Found just about everywhere in nature, it causes the opposite reaction as red; serene, as well as, secure and orderly.
Your body releases calming chemicals when exposed to blue, hence why it is used in bedrooms. In fact, blue can be so calming that it lowers the pulse rate and body temperature. Interestingly, some cultures use blue to keep the bad spirits, stupidity, and misfortune away. Who wouldn't be soothed by that?
People have also been known to be more productive in blue rooms. It is non-threatening, yet confident and stable. So, they are calm and focused on the task at hand when immersed in it. That is why we see various shades of blue all over offices, gyms, and schools alike.
Over time it has become associated with dependability, wisdom, and loyalty. Think about how many uniforms are blue and even more importantly, which ones they are. That said, the best color to wear to your next interview is definitely blue.
