Dark Chocolate

A good movie and even better chocolate. Being trendy is not just about your clothes; it is your lifestyle. And what is more stylish that being up on the most recent flicks and taking care of your body? Yes, I said taking care of yourself and indulging in some delicious chocolate as if they were one in the same.

Here's why:

Dark chocolate is made from plants; so, it contains many of the same health benefits as dark vegetables. Which means when you take a bite of that rich treat you are also protecting your body from aging, preventing damage that leads to heart disease, relaxing your blood pressure, lowering your cholesterol, and balancing your overall emotional state.

Dark chocolate has a lot more healthy stuff in it than just those wonderful antioxidants that we are always hearing about. A nice bar of dark chocolate contains endorphin, serotonin, and theobromine. That means you get a sensation of pleasure, a mild anti-depressant, and a stimulant boost all at once. No wonder it is the most loved food.

Now remember, moderation is the key ingredient here. Too much of a good thing is still bad. It would be a healthy decision to satisfy your desires with about 3.5 ounces or about 200 calories of dark chocolate per day. Simply eat a little less of something else and then you can have your candy and eat it too. Take your time and enjoy every bite, your body will thank yourself for it.
